Search Warrant against Alias “TATO” of Cavite
On 27 July 2012, intelligence information was received by NBI-Cavite District Office anent a group led by alias “TATO”, “MICHAEL”, and “BUNSO”, all of Imus, Cavite are engaged in the sale, distribution and control of illegal drugs. A series of test buy operations were conducted which verified the veracity of said information. Operatives were able to purchase a sachet of allegedly illegal drugs each from Bunso, Michael and Tato and that during the test-buy, they noticed that every time Subjects ran out of merchandise (illegal drugs), they always go inside the house owned by TATO with no. 153 at Bagong Anyo Street, Toclong 1A, Imus, Cavite near the selling area.
On July 3, 2012, the test-buy items which were examined by NBI-Forensic Chemistry Division produced positive results for Methamphetamine Hydrochloride.
On July 25, 2012 a search warrant was issued by RTC Branch 21, Imus, Cavite, against alias “TATO” who was later properly identified as RANDY MEDINA BONIFACIO. After coordination with NBI Anti-Illegal Task Force and Philippine Drug Enforcement (PDEA) Calabarzon were made, the search proceeded and the Operatives were able to apprehend Live-in partners ABRIL MEDINA BONIFACIO and RENA TUZON, in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Subjects were brought to NBI-CAVIDO for booking and arrest procedures. Seized items were brought to Chemistry Division for laboratory examination and confirmatory test. Thereafter, all subjects were charged on inquest before the prosecutor’s office (Inquest No. : IV-03-INQ-12G-3142).
